Why Nurture and Grow
Malisa built Nurture and Grow Daycare the way she'd want a daycare to be for her own children: warm, safe, attentive, and joyful. With eight years of teaching experience and a deep love for working with kids, she wanted to create a space where children felt heard, where parents felt at ease, and where learning happened naturally through play.
Every morning, the day begins with what Malisa calls the “circle of voices.” Every child, from the quietest to the most energetic, gets a chance to share something — a thought, a dream, a worry. It's a small ritual, but it sets the tone for everything: here, you are heard. Here, you matter.
What makes us different isn't just the space. It's the way we listen.
The small victories are what Malisa celebrates most: tying shoelaces for the first time, saying “please” without being reminded, making a new friend. These are the moments that shape childhood, and we get to be part of them.
